At its Windows 10 event in New York City today, together with the announce Surface Studio, Microsoft also unveiled its accessory called Surface Dial and from its demo this little thing looks impressive. This new accessory is the new tool for the creative process, according to Microsoft and I see why they proudly claimed that.
The Surface Dial is a wireless handheld device that aimed at creative professionals to help them with their creative process. Using the device, one can scroll and swipe through documents and images, rotating the dial will control what you have on the screen and tapping or clicking the dial will enable you to access more options.
Not to be seen as Surface Studio only accessory, Microsoft says this device is compatible with other devices in Surface especially Surface Pro 3, Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book.
Surface Studio will be available within the US for pre-orders today, October 26th, at $100. I’ll have to say, this device may not be for everyone. The way Microsoft demo it, it is clear that it is mostly aimed toward creative professionals especially designers and creators.
