Last September, Snapchat’s CEO Evan Spiegel told the Wall Street Journal that other than re-branding the company as Snap Inc, the company is going to start selling Spectacles, its first hardware product.
Snapchat Spectacles is a sunglasses with a camera that has a 115 degrees lens. It records a rather unique 10 seconds circular video before sending it to your smartphone. Users can explore the video it by rotating their devices. Spectacles come with a charging case, which the company said able to charge the glasses up to 4 times.
Yesterday, Snap Inc (formerly known as Snapchat) has finally began selling the Spectacles for $130 each pair via a vending machine called Snapbots.
