WhatsApp for iOS now support GIFs and Live Photos with its new update. The feature, which hasn’t yet been made available on Android, allows users to send animated images through the app.

Also comes with the latest version, a GIF editors that lets you add captions, stickers and emoji as well as able to trim clip to any length. WhatsApp for iOS can also convert a six seconds or shorter clips from your camera rolls into GIFs before sending them.

If you don’t have enough GIF to send to your friend, you could also search for one using WhatsApp new GIF search engine, powered by Tenor.

WhatsApp for iOS also allows users to send Live Photos. To do this, select Attach > Photo Library from the app and 3D touch any live photo from the video library and choose select as GIF.

Again, at the moment, all these features are currently available on iOS app only. One would expect Android app will be updated soon. The new version of the app is now available in Apple App Store.
